Inspired by and very (really very) loosely based on the worlds of Vladimir Sorokin’s books Telluria and The Red Pyramid, Fuckhead & Friends, together with T, create a 75-hour-long stream of un-consciousness at the Theater am Werk on Petersplatz, which unfolds as a meandering and overlapping programme across the entire venue: It is a journey through a Europe fragmented into small states, which has regressed socially, politically, economically and technologically to the early 19th century, yet in which biotechnological inventions are widely applied. Morning fitness sessions, cookery classes, talks with experts on mushroom cultivation and cryptocurrencies, on ketamine in psychotherapy and sloths, dance competitions, noise meditations, austere chambers, fervent amateur choirs, voice cloning, listening in the dark, silence, fortune-telling, shell games and false statements. And, at prime time, the daily, ritual trepanation, in which the cacophony of worlds overlaps and condenses into a single tone which, like a trepanation needle, drills a hole in the forehead and lets a light dawn in the deepest recesses of our consciousness. “Those who won’t listen must feel!……”
